UniBrass 2026 Heads to ICC Wales in Newport

The UniBrass Foundation has officially announced that the UniBrass 2026 contest will take place on Saturday 14th February 2026 at the ICC Wales in Newport – a world-class, fully accessible venue that promises a spectacular day of student brass band performances.

The International Convention Centre (ICC) Wales offers excellent acoustics, state-of-the-art performance spaces, and plenty of room for bands and audiences to relax, rehearse, and socialise. It’s the perfect backdrop for the UK’s leading university brass band competition.

A Valentine’s Day to Remember for Brass Band Fans

Chair of the 2026 Organising Committee, Molly Stubbs-Davies, shared her excitement for the upcoming event:

“I am so pleased to announce that UniBrass 2026 will take place on the 14th of February. So bring along a valentine and get practicing!

"The 2026 contest will be taking place in the internationally renowned venue, ICC Wales in Newport, and I'm so excited to welcome you all for what is set to be a fantastic contest. I always look forward to seeing the creative themes and programmes the bands come up with and I know this year will be no different. So, mark the date in your calendars and dust off your mouthpiece; I'll see you in Newport on the 14th of February 2026!”
