Richard Marshall has announced the details of his 2024 Cornet Spotlight, as part of the Black Dyke Festival this Summer. If you're looking for an opportunity to elevate your skills and learn from a legendary musician - keep on reading!

Unleash Your Potential

Geneva artist and Principal cornet of the, world famous, Black Dyke Band, invites cornet and soprano cornet players of Grade 5 standard and above to join him for his Cornet Spotlight at Huddersfield Town Hall on Sunday 9th June 2024.

Attendees can look forward to a morning of fantastic music-making and a chance to elevate your skills. The spotlight also offers an opportunity to connect with other cornet players and have fun! All you need to bring is your instrument, your mouthpiece, a stand and your enthusiasm!

Speaking on the event, Richard told It's Not a Trumpet:

“This is probably my 13th or 14th Cornet Spotlight now, and I get a real buzz of enthusiasm every year for the event. It’s a fun packed morning full of ‘cornet goodness’ and numbers over the years have been between 40 to 90. Let’s hope for another great turnout this year!"
