Brass Bands England Awards: Recognising Excellence in Brass Banding

The Brass Bands England (BBE) Awards celebrate individuals and organisations that have made an exceptional contribution to brass banding.

Changes to 2025 Brass Bands England Awards

This year, Brass Bands England have made a couple of changes to the nominations. The Outstanding Contribution Award will now be selected by a dedicated panel, similar to the Lifetime Achievement Award. Additionally, based on feedback, the Young Bandsperson Award has been restructured to introduce a new Rising Star Award for those under 18.

Award Categories

Nominations are now open for the following categories:

Band Project of the Year
Brass Band Conductor (supported by the Brass Band Conductors' Association)
Green Hero
Rising Star (NEW)
Services to Youth
Young Bandsperson

Nominations are open on the Brass Band England's website and will remain open until midnight on Friday 4th April.

Shortlisting and Brass Bands England Awards Ceremony

A shortlist will be announced in early June, selected by a panel of BBE trustees and senior staff. Winners will be revealed during a special ceremony at the Brass Band Conference on Saturday 27th September in Durham.
