Unibrass Announce 2024 Band Camp

Unibrass Band Camp: A Brass Band Experience with a Twist!

Unibrass have announced the details of their annual band camp and it's set to be a fantastic experience. Including many opportunities for brass players to develop their playing, as well as make new friends, this musical residential has proven popular over the years and I'm sure this year will be no different.

This year's event will take place from Wednesday 21st to Monday 26th August and will take place at Hesley Wood Scout Camp near Sheffield.

What is Unibrass Band Camp?

Unibrass Band Camp is a five-night residential summer school with all the fun and excitement associated with any Unibrass event. Led by musical director, David Thornton, participants can expect to enjoy a mixture of rehearsals, sectionals, workshops and activities led by an all-star line-up of musicians, as well as plenty of evening entertainment.

Alongside the opportunity to improve your playing with a range of educational sessions, you will also have the chance to take part in two relaxed performances within the local area, culminating in a final concert in the historic Sheffield Cathedral.

This experience is for any brass or percussion players aged 18 to 25 at the time of the course - this includes school leavers, current students and those not involved in higher education. You don't have to be a current university student or attending a university that competes in Unibrass.
