Grimethorpe Set to Bring Brassed Off Live to the Royal Albert Hall

Brassed Off Celebrates 30th Anniversary at the Royal Albert Hall

The iconic film Brassed Off is 30 years old in 2026 and will be celebrated in style at the Royal Albert Hall with a special screening with live accompaniment of the score performed by Grimethorpe Colliery Band on Friday 2nd October 2026.

Grimethorpe Colliery Band starred in Brassed Off as the members of Grimley Colliery Band.

This is the third time the film has been presented in this 'in concert' style at the Royal Albert Hall. The first performance was in celebration of the film's 21st anniversary in 2017. This performance sold out, and was brought back in 2022 - such is the following and love for this iconic film and its music.

In this third edition of the screening, the audience members can also experience an exclusive Q and A with the film's director, Mark Herman and Producer, Steve Abbott before the performance.

What to Expect from Unibrass 2026 With just a few days to go until Unibrass 2026, here is a summary of what to expect from Saturday's event. Twenty-two University Bands Ready to Compete The annual inter-university entertainment contest thoughout the day will feature 22 university brass band ensembles, including Newcastle, who are making their debut. The performances will start from around 10:30am with two sections taking place at the same time. Audience members get access to
