Applications Open for Foden's Youth Band 2025/26 Term

If you're a young person or know a young person who's looking for a great opportunity to develop their musical skills, make new friends and take part in some of the best performance opportunities - this is your call to join Foden's Youth for their 2025/26 season.

As an alumni of this fantastic organisation, I can say that it is a fantastic educational and social experience for young brass and percussion players. You get to perform incredible repertoire, learn from some of the country's finest brass band musicians and make fantastic friendships along the way.

Everything You Need to Know About Foden's Youth 2025/26 Season

Now entering its 14th year, Foden's Youth Band continues to offer exciting opportunities for young brass and percussion players aged 21 and over of Grade 5+ ability. The band meets monthly at Sandbach School across the academic year, working with the Foden's team of professional conductors, tutors and guest artists.

The focus of the ensemble is to develop young players through challenging repertoire, exposure to top-level musicianship and opportunities that complement and extend the experiences offered by school, youth and local banding programmes.

As a member of the band you can look forward to:

• A joint concert in June 2026 - featuring Foden's Band, Foden's Youth BAnd and Oslofjord Brass Band from Norway

• A continued partnership with the Royal Northern College of Music - offering a chance to interact with and learn from current RNCM students who shadow Foden's tutors and gain valuable insight and inspiration for those considering music college in the future

• Challenging and rewarding repertoire, carefully selected to stretch and inspire

• Coaching and mentoring from some of the UK's leading brass and percussion specialists

I genuinely couldn't recommend joining Foden's Youth Band enough. I learned so much during my time in the band, I grew as a player and I have so many amazing memories!
